UAA

The Universidad Autónoma de Asunción (UAA) is a higher education institution that has its origin in the Higher School of Business Administration (ESAE), Institution of Higher Education founded in 1978 with the aim of training human resources for business management. The UAA was one of the first universities recognised by the Paraguayan State, in 1991, shortly after the advent of democracy in 1989.

From its foundation, the institution has been adapting to the necessary changes to respond to the requirements of the environment and technological advances. Also, it has demonstrated its commitment to innovation and excellence in the production, transmission, preservation and application of knowledge for the benefit of society and very particularly is committed to the process of quality improvement.

Currently, the UAA has four Faculties:  Economic and Business Sciences (Only Paraguayan Faculty accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs - ACBSP of the United States, when meeting the international quality standards) - Science and Technology - Legal, Political and Communication Sciences –  Health Sciences.

All faculties have careers accredited by the National Agency for Evaluation and Accreditation of Higher Education (ANEAES). UAA has several cooperation agreements with universities and foreign institutions that allow it to carry out internationalisation actions that favour the entire academic community
