Privacy Policy

In compliance with the Websites guidelines, published by the Minister of Public Administration and Simplification, the privacy policy describes the methods of processing personal data made available by the users of the website www.projectdhip.com. The types of users are:
  • Website visitors
  • The DHIP Project staff members accessing to services through authentication
  • Occasional visitors interested in online services provided for by the DHIP Project.
This information is provided in compliance with art. 13 of the EU Regulation n. 679/2016 "General Data Protection Regulation" to anyone interacting with the online services of the website www.projectdhip.com which is the homepage of the official website of the DHIP Project.

Data Controller

The personal data controller is the University of Pisa located in Pisa, Lungarno Pacinotti 43, represented by the Rector pro tempore

Authorised responsible and processor

The "Regulations for the protection of persons and other subjects regarding the processing of personal data" of the University of Pisa, identifies a responsible person and a data processor (art 3).

Methods of personal data processing

Personal data shall be processed, with or without electronic devices, exclusively for institutional purposes, lawfully, fairly and transparently, with appropriateness, relevance and limitation, accuracy and update, not in excess and with responsibility. Adequate and preventive security measures will keep and check personal data, to minimise the risks of destruction and loss, unauthorised access, not allowed treatment or not following the purpose of collection.

At any time, any user will be able to enforce rights according to section 2, 3 and 4 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (e.g. rights of information and access, correction and deletion, limitation and opposition to processing, and personal data portability).

Type of data processed

Surfing data

The surfing data related with the IP addresses of the HTTP and HTTPS requests are stored in the web server logs and exclusively used for computer security checking.

Cookies

Cookies are small text strings that a site sends to the user's browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome), which stores and re-transmit them to the same site at the following visit of the same user. The University portal make use of cookies. The posted cookies are exclusively used for technical reasons, such as allowing authentication to restricted areas or storing temporary user preferences. The posted cookies are in no way used for visitor profiling activities and do not allow the collection of personal information relating to users.

Third- party cookies

The portal makes use of third-party contents (using resource embedding techniques); therefore other cookies, both technical and user profiling, could be sent by these third parties to the user’s terminal, while connecting to the portal. The information on processing and using consent is a responsibility of these services providers. Cookies Refusal via terminal settings

Portal users can refuse all or part of cookies sent from both the portal and third- party websites, through the settings options available in the browser.
